Fortnite Trades Avengers
As the biggest video game in the world, Fortnite has caused countless other #brands to get into their own battle royale to see who can partner with the colorful multiplayer shooter. So far Fortnite has crossed over with everything from Borderlands to John Wick.
However, Fortnite’s most famous mashup is still with Marvel. To celebrate Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, Fortnite rolled out several limited modes letting you play as Earth’s Mightiest Heroes or Thanos himself with the Infinity Gauntlet. And Marvel returned the favor by having Bro Thor play Fortnite in Endgame.
But why should Fortnite shackle itself to just one of the big two comic book companies? A new leak suggests Fortnite is about to get some DC with new content for Batman Day.
The leaks come from Twitter users Lucas7yoshi and FNBR leaks. According to version 10.31 update files, Fortnite is about to get a bunch of Batman stuff. This potentially includes an explosive Batarang weapon, a Grapnel Gun item with Batman cape gliding, and a Gotham City makeover for Tilted Towers complete with the Bat Signal.
Batman Day is September 21 so rolling this Fortnite crossover out soon seems like a good promotional opportunity. Some suggest this is also a prelude to free giveaways of Lego Batman and Batman: Arkham video games on the Epic Games Store. We just hope that isn’t what Rocksteady has been working on all these years.

‘Fortnite’s’ John Wick Mode Is The Deadliest Crossover Yet
If you thought Fortnite’s recent crossover with Avengers: Endgame was going to be the coolest movie tie-in the hit game pulled off this year, apparently you’ve never heard of John Wick. Keanu Reeves’ super deadly and super reluctant assassin returns to theaters this week for perhaps the last time in John Wick: Chapter 3- Parabellum. And to celebrate, he’s getting his own Fortnite crossover with the new Wick’s Bounty mode.
Considering just how violent the John Wick series, it’s a little weird seeing it in a game as beloved by children as Fortnite. But as much as the franchise is about extremely tactical murder with very real guns, the underlying lore and mythology about how the assassin world works does feel like something out of a wacky video game.
And Wick’s Bounty seems to lean into those elements. As suggested by earlier leaks, in Wick’s Bounty teams rack up kills to earn the big gold coins that can seemingly buy anything in the John Wick universe. Three lives means the game isn’t entirely over if you die but you still need to be careful. And you can dress up as either classy or battle-damaged John Wick himself.
Along with promoting the new John Wick movie, this limited time event is also part of the kick-off of Fortnite season 9. This future-themed season has a bunch of new sci-fi loot to collect and mysterious “Fortbyte” artifacts to decode. And if you’re interested in a John Wick game that has nothing to do with Fortnite, look forward to the upcoming action-strategy game John Wick Hex from acclaimed indie developer Mike Bithell.
